Herb scones are a savoury variation of classic scones, prepared with fresh herbs and cheese for extra flavour. Soft and tender inside, they are an excellent alternative to bread and can be served warm for breakfast, brunch or as part of an appetiser spread.
Cherry tomatoes are particularly well suited to homemade tomato jam because of their naturally sweet, intense flavour and juicy texture. As they cook, they soften and become concentrated, creating a glossy preserve with a balance of sweetness and acidity that works well with both sweet and savoury dishes.
