A tasty and sustainable alternative

The Vegan Burger is a complete dish usually made with legumes and grains, offering an alternative to the classic beef burger. It’s an ideal choice for those following a vegetarian or vegan diet, or for anyone looking to explore new and exciting flavors. Vegan burgers made with beans and rice are easy to prepare at home. Depending on what you find in the pantry, you can change this recipe to your liking. For example, you can replace cannellini beans with borlotti beans, or with chickpeas or lentils. If you don’t have rice, or you don’t like it, you can replace it with quinoa, or with couscous, bulgur or buckwheat.

How to enhance and store your Vegan Burger

Tomato Paste plays two key roles in the vegan burger mixture: it enhances the flavor and adds color, giving the sandwich a more appealing, meat-like appearance. This recipe also includes vegan mayonnaise. It is a very easy sauce to make at home. The only precaution is to use unsweetened soy milk (and not other types of vegetable milk). The Vegan Burger can also be stored in the fridge for 2 days in an airtight container and cooked when you want to prepare your sandwich. Even vegan mayonnaise can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for days.
