Sometimes the best sauces are the simplest. This easy tomato sauce combines Finely Chopped Tomatoes, gently cooked onion, butter and cream for a smooth, comforting result with just the right balance of sweetness and acidity.
Mutti Polpa Finely Chopped Tomatoes give the sauce a fresh tomato flavour and a naturally textured consistency. The addition of cream makes it softer and rounder, creating a sauce that works especially well with pasta but can also be adapted with herbs, garlic or spices depending on the dish.
This recipe is an ideal starting point for experimenting with flavour. Add Mutti Polpa with Basil for an aromatic Italian touch, or go for Polpa with Garlic for extra depth, or finish with a pinch of chili for gentle heat. Finish with grated cheese and serve with your favourite pasta for an easy meal that comes together with minimal effort.
